Nightborne: Exalted with the Nightfallen and completion of Good Suramaritan
Void Elf: Exalted with Argussian Reach and completion of You Are Now Prepared!
Lightforged Draenei: Exalted with Army of the Light and completion of You Are Now Prepared!

Phew. I got all of those covered.

Question: Does it count if I have done it on Alliance but not horde?

I think you need to have the rep on the faction you want to unlock with.

I NEED to know this too! I have exalted with the Nightfallen on my nelf druid, but havent done Suramar on anyone on Horde yet! I really don’t feel like doing that grind all over again 🙁

Guess Highmountain will be Exalted as well as the Highmountain stories lines.

Have all of those covered. Except perhaps when I need the reputations on Alliance side. Currently I’m only Revered on my highest character.

Hopefully the update to the void elf description will appease the shadow priests who felt they were being… well, overshadowed.

Same. Most of my exalted rep is on my alliance druid who I no longer play. My undead warlock is getting caught up but a grind is still a grind lol.

I don’t see why not since Good Suramaritan is an account wide achievement regardless of faction.

WoW community: “We want the game to be hard and grindy! We want o work for achievements so things feel like they matter!… whoa, that’s too hard and grindy, I don’t want to work for that, goodbye.”

A new icon was added for the Nightborne racial (Spell #260364), which reduces movement speed. This racial appears to replace (Spell #255660) and (Spell #255662)

You gotta be kidding me…

I’m honestly kind of suprised they are going this route. Its not like them to gate new content behind old content, especially an old xpac. I hope that with this they make that rep grind a LOT faster because a new person coming to the game in BfA is going to have a LONG road to be able to play those races.

I’m also REALLY hoping this is account wide unlock. I havent played my Alliance at all this xpac and really dont feel like doing that grind again for all of those -_-

This really takes a lot of time to get exalted with 4 factions exalted but it’s worth it

Like most others here, I’m desperately hoping the requirements will account-wide. I focused on one character this expansion, and that one character has all of the reputation, achievements, quests, and everything else completed. No problem. I really don’t want to have to repeat the whole venture on the opposite faction though, on a character I’ll never really play again, just to unlock the option to try out the other allied races.

If I need a 110 of the opposite faction to complete the scenario quest, then that’s fine I suppose. But doing something like the entire Argus chain, plus grinding to Exalted again with the Argus reps…oof. I’d have no reason to do that again if it weren’t for something like this.

I guess we won’t really be able to find out either way until we’re closer to release I imagine, or at least in Beta.

Yeah it’s not like you haven’t had over a year to do all of this.

This is like the same people who complain about having to unlock flying.

I hate to point this out, but for those who are complaining about not having the rep done by the time BFA is out, it really isn’t that hard to do, especially since after you get Exalted with a Legion faction on a character, the reputation tokens for that exalted faction on that character become a “Bind to Account” item, which makes it easier to grind out rep tokens on your main and send it to your opposite faction if you haven’t done so yet. I play mainly alliance, but since I grind out so many of these rep tokens, I just sent them to my ‘main’ Horde character so that they can get exalted with them with less amount of grinding needed.

The story lines themselves are easy to do, just as long as you get to max level and do what needs to be done. No one should be really worried about this one as long as they’re doing the daily WQs like normal.

Not to mention when Darkmoon Faire is up, there is no reason to go stacking tokens before that week and then use them up while having the DMF rep buff active.

But it makes sense even if it does suck for a new player having to do old content during BFA to unlock them. A new player joining in bfa wont have even come across most of the races unless they stopped around, so why let them have races theve never even come across in the game. Makes no sense.

Though i do agree that they need make the achievements account wide so if you happen to play alliance and be exalted with everyone, you can just do the scenarios quests on horde and be good. having to grind all the reps on both sides is unfair and wrong. But having the rep grinds done on either side is fair game. Its not like there really a grind you get them passively by just playing them game.

If the Highmountain Tauren unlock achievement is account wide, there is zero logic in thinking it will not be the same for the other allied races. It says clearly: “These tracking achievements are listed as account wide progress”

I’m glad we have to work at least something to be able to play them, makes complete sense and kinda like a reward for the people who have been playing all of the Legion expansion and of course all of us playing since vanilla.

As for the new players coming into the game, this move makes sense also. Allied races do not have an actual full capital city and Blizzard said clearly they are going to start either at Orgrimmar or Stormwind, leaving room for the new players to go for one of the original races and experience the game as many of us did instead of jumping directly to the new stuff and completely ignoring the base racial content of the game (and lore for that matter).

I’m super excited, just give me the original Nightborne faces and yellow/white tattoos for Highmountain Tauren and i’m a happy gal.

I’d say just another bit of proof that these are going to be unlocked at 7.3.5 release or shortly thereafter.
