So Tandred just showing up randomly huh? I thought he just had a memorial plaque text added saying he had died/gone missing at sea?

Don’t see Anduin having many stories of Bolvar since he was just a child when Bolvar “died”. And a child’s perspective of an adult is about as useful as a blind person describing a painting. Anduin wasn’t Bolvar’s friend. The two interacted enough for Anduin to feel he had a father around, but how well does any child know their parents or aunts/uncles while growing up? How many kids know what their parents do? What their first names are? What their birthdays are? How old they are? What their parents hobbies are? How many and who their parents friends are? Most kids don’t get to really know any adults until their teen years and even then they don’t really truly know them. If Bolvar kept his mouth shut (or spoke very little) about having a daughter to most people, then what else was he hiding?

And it’s also painfully obvious where Anduin and Taelia are going in future patches. Taelia’s no different from the Lich King in WotLK. He was EVERYWHERE and people mocked him as a cartoon villain who ran away before being confronted or when he was about to lose. Reason Lich King was everywhere is because people whined Illidan was no where to be found prior to Black Temple. While Taelia may not be a villain, but she’s got her nose in everything. If people complained about Thrall and Lich King, they’ll complain about Taelia, too.

Taelia’s poorly written and clearly added as an afterthought to tie Alliance zones together and then give Anduin a wife later. It’s painfully obvious. It would also be a massively large missed opportunity if Taelia isn’t a connection to a WotLK 2.0 expansion (as terrible as she is). Here’s hoping she gets betting writing in the patches, but I suspect she’s just going to be a giant joke.

Normally I don’t complain about characters, but frankly, Taelia is just plain terrible and pigeonholed into EVERYTHING. I don’t care for her in the slightest so I wouldn’t care if an orc ran her through or Sylvanas shot her with an arrow. But hey, at least she’s not a one shot and done character like Aggra. For now anyway. Expansion’s still young.

You’re thinking about Derek. Tandred is the youngest son and he’s very much alive 🙂

I don’t know if I’ve ever been more excited for a new character to be introduced than Taelia. The Wrathgate was a watershed moment for the game. I can’t wait to see how Taelia is brought into the Alliance and what the future for her story holds.

Huh… You said this was “finally” released in the patch that happened today, but I did this quest last week. Me and a few guildies were wondering what this new quest was, and after doing all the dungeons, we got this achieve last week. No saying you aren’t right, but this has been available for longer then just a few hours.

you know, i like all this storyline and all but, i think that the nelfs deserve focus now… where the hell is tyrande? are we going to see the nelfs get some revenge ?

also, i find a little funny that we get at the perfect time for a new lord admiral, just in time to discover ashvane who was conveniently planning to kill katherine who has been in duel for like 20 years and never once tried to mend terms with jaina or the alliance, but hey! maybe i am being too curious.

Oh my God, you’ve came with that nonsense even here…

Listen, I see that identical comments of yours EVERYWHERE. And EVERYWHERE you find absolutely stupid reasons for hating Taelia.

What is all that nonsense about Lich King? How exactly He and Taelia can be the same if they ABSOLUTELY different story characters with absolutely different story purpose, god dammit…

No. Taelia doesn’t got her nose everywhere, and if you really played on beta, you would know that Taelia appears only as a companion in the arc with Lord Stormsong and at the very end of Tiragarde story, also she participates in the rescue of the player with Flynn and at the very beginning of the quests where you need to find and rescue Jaina. Taelia appears much less often than Talanji (or Yrel in WoD) .
.
I’ve been watching Taelia’s character for quiet a long time now and she is diffinetly very promising.
She has connection with Kul Tiran admiralty and she use it to help hero and often risk her life for the sake of the Kul Tiras and your ass in storyline. During the questing she often leaves player to scout the situation, remains behinde to help people in some way and etc. Her character feel alive. Taelia in the story is my companion and friend, on whom I always may count on.

Besides, her character already has a lot of details that give her a spechial personality, for example: she tries to be strong and unflappable, but at the same time she is very ticklish and quite easy to get embarrassed. She is not naive, but still has a childish spontaneity and constantly reacts very brightly to everything that is new for her. Also Taelia is voiced by Ellie Kendrick (Meera Reed from GoT) and I think that her voice fits Tae perfectly.

To be honest, your indignations are very far fetched, and according to your comments here and there, it’s clear that you just don’t like Taelia because of Baine Bloodhoof/Anduin Wrynn, Wranduin or any other ship and you will find 1001 reasons to say that she is a bad written character.

All of that you are listed – these are not problems with Taelia’s character, it’s a problem in your own perception of her.

And you know, for me, as for a person who usually watches very closely at all new and potentially interesting characters and tries to know them well from the moment they appear on the beta/alpha, your indignation looks veeery ridiculous and stupid.

You’re entitled to your opinion, of course. Your opinion is just so wrong though. Taelia was one of the highlights of the alliance side story in BfA.

Traitor Jaina wasn’t accountable for her “no actions” since end of MoP because “she went through enough for listening to her heart”? BS. Typical BS alliance story arch.
