Anthem loses key devs as BioWare knuckles down on Dragon Age 4

BioWare’s Anthem has had its fair share of problems since it launched in February, and things don’t seem to be getting much better for the game this week.

According to new reports, Anthem has lost a number of key team members recently (via Comic Book), including Mike Gamble and Mark Darrah, who served as lead producer and executive producer, respectively. In addition, Jonathan Warner, the game’s lead director, is currently on sabbatical.

Why has this happened? Well, it appears to be because BioWare is starting to shift focus to Dragon Age 4, which is currently in the early stages of production. It’s still a long way off, with a report in December last year claiming it won’t be released for at least another three years.

As for Anthem, well, BioWare has been doing its best to polish up the sci-fi loot-shooter over the past couple of months, and it has an extensive roadmap planned. However, some of these features were recently delayed.

One thing is for sure, Anthem is in a lot better shape now than it was back at launch.
