For the past two years, a kindhearted little boy has been on the receiving end of strange looks, comments, and questions from his peers (and even some parents) who assume he’s a girl.
Morgan’s brown hair falls all the way down his back. The boy from West Jordan, Utah, stopped cutting it so he could donate 12 inches of hair to Wigs for Kids.
Morgan knows firsthand what it’s like to suffer from and overcome medical issues; he was born premature at 27 weeks and lived his first few weeks of life in the NICU. His mom, Sandrine, says he nearly died.
Thankfully, Morgan defied doctors’ expectations, and he grew up to become a happy, healthy child. Now he feels it’s his duty to help other children feel as normal as possible.
Four years ago, Morgan started growing out his hair. Two years ago, he donated his long locks for the first time, then immediately went back to growing his hair out again for another donation.
Despite any judgement coming from his classmates over his super-long hair, Morgan has no plans to stop his cycle of giving back.
In this clip, Sandrine brings Morgan to the hair salon for his big transformation. What an awesome little kid.
