Tori Spelling’s son was recently subjected to some cruel body shaming, and his reaction was so sad. Body shaming is always a despicable practice, but it’s even more disgusting when it’s aimed at children.

Children should not be subject to the subjective beauty standards of adults, not only because it’s a mean thing to do, but also because it can seriously mess up their self-esteem over time.

That’s why parents who live in the public eye have to fiercely protect their children from the trolling masses. Some parents, like Kristen Bell, simply refuse to show their children’s faces on social media at all. And others, like Ayesha Curry, fight back when their kids are inevitably shamed for how they look.

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott have opted to take the latter route. They have five children together, and they enjoy sharing photos of the kids online occasionally. So, you know, haters gonna hate.

Recently, Dean opened up about the effects of body shaming on his kids during an episode of his new podcast, Daddy Issues.
