Avengers: Endgame is officially in theaters, and it had the biggest opening night in box office history.

EVER. Ahead of the movie’s release, the cast of the movie headed to Downtown Disney in Anaheim, California, to surprise some kids.

Disney hosted an event called Avengers Universe Unites to celebrate a $5 million grant for children’s hospitals. Disney’s CEO was in attendance, and he brought out a few very special surprise guests. Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Brie Larson, and other stars from the movie popped in to greet everyone.

The children at the event had no idea what was in store for them.

“The reason I think most of us do it is the looks on their faces,” Chris told Entertainment Tonight.

“I think just being able to provide any opportunity for kids to do what exactly they do best, just be a kid, is awesome,” Scarlett said.

Hilariously, the kids didn’t always recognize some of the Marvel actors outside of character.

Chris, for example, plays Thor in the movie.

“Sometimes you have to explain. They’re like, ‘Who are you?’ You’re like, ‘Thor!’ They’re like, ‘Where’s the hammer and the long hair and the outfit?”

The stars also brought Avengers-themed toys for the kids, and they all took a group photo together. Each one of the actors shared a touching speech with the kids.

“The thing that I have loved so much about being part of the beginning of this new chapter is the ability to inspire others. But the thing is the kids who are here today are actually the ones that inspire us,” Brie said.

Watch the kids’ touching reaction in the video below.
