Blizz, get it together. You are starting to look ridiculous now. You let people reserve names on servers but now the servers are so full people are having to move to different servers. What was the point of reserving a name again?

What was the point of reserving a name again?

1) To allow players with active subs to reserve a name on a server.
2) To determine expected populations come launch day.
3) Are you dumb? You sound dumb.

They can’t foresee where people are going to pick, all they can do is what they’re doing. Make servers, monitor population, advise players and open more servers. They’re doing this.

It blows my mind this was another Bless Online thing, well unlike that they had 2 realm on release, it was quite obvious to me that you should’ve setup 4 pvp realms to begin with. Now it’s too late. I wish you good luck trying to move shazzrah people.

You are the one that sounds dumb. Who the heck wants to play on a server with 1+ hour queue times just to get into the game because Blizz didn’t open enough servers to begin with. This is not a player created problem, this is a problem that Blizz created.

No one does. Which is why they’re advising players to move NOW before it’s an issue. Theres ENOUGH servers, just too many on some. The interest is expected to decline as players level up, so they want servers to have a big healthy population (So fewer servers now, the better)

What is your solution? Open way too many servers so they become ghost-towns a few weeks after launch? (This is what happened in retail) OK Good plan, repeat history.

So how many is ‘enough’? How many servers do they actually need in order to make sure that they don’t end up with any dead realms?

As someone already previously stated, Blizzard is not clairvoyant, and is unable to foresee the amount of volume that the initial servers would receive. In the time that the original servers were opened for name reservations, several more have been opened, and more will continue to be opened in the event that the newer servers also reach a full status.

The only option you’re giving English PVP characters is the only non-full server, which will probably be High by tomorrow, giving everybody high queues.r
r
So where exactly do you want us to go to avoid these queues? A server that will be loaded with queues within 24hr?r
r
Give us some options, open up 3 new English PVP realms today to encourage people to mass migrate in the hope of avoiding big queues… r

why does blizzard have to get it together? if anything you should be thanking them for being able to see what server you’re more likely to get access to on the first day of launch instead of having to wait in queues cause by players refusing to move, plus anytime a server fills theres a new server to allow for a migration

r
It’s not a problem at all. If the demand exceeds expectation, they can easily and quickly bring new servers online to meet demandr
r
If the expectation exceeded the demand, however, they’d be left with several low-pop realms, and the fixes for that….realm mergers, free transfers, etc…are not desirable.

Some players may skip out after minutes, a day, weeks, months… Some may completely switch from retail to classic, vice versa, play both… quit the game completely. Who knows.

The best they can do is limit servers, and corral a healthy population onto each.

If after several months there are dead servers, I imagine they’ll offer server transfers… among other things.

Well, everyone? There is medium servers available, but many people want to play on most populated servers and will stick to full servers despite queues. They can’t just prohibit players to play on server of their choice, even if we had 200 servers available, 1-2 of them would still be full, but many servers would end up being dead
