🙁 i just wish Battleground was actualy relevant in the eco-system of gearing again, all they give are useless honorpoints which doesnt give you any gear.

I miss the casual BG days, when rewards werent entirely down to RNG.

The trolls that would stand at the top of the stairs to reset the bosses will now have to find something else to cause their team to rage. Also, no mention of the Horde air ship sitting in one place so they can unload on the gates with cannons. Until they fix this it will still be about an 80% horde win rate.

“players dealing extreme amounts of Generals with Glaive Throwers”r
r
I’m imagining the glaive throwers launching a bunch of orcs at the keep instead of projectiles ? lol

well if what Baneleaf says is true (i really havn’t done it as alliance on my battlegroup doesn’t win this). Its only going to be world of warcraft: the fall of the alliance as the next expac.

Horde pretty much goes for Hangar 95% of the time on my battlegroup. So what does that tell how overpower the Hangar is?r
r
I’m still waiting to hear some fixes on AV, since the horde turtles between IB GY and TP. Where the alliance has no way to stop them or turtle before they take SH Bunker. THe IB GY is too close to the chock point as I stated above, where SH GY is a ways from SH and IW Bunkers.r
r
Nowadays it is a 95% lost on AV for the alliance. I know, alliance can’t adapt to changes as fast as the horde, but still when I get the AV queue, I /afk 98% of the time or wait on the bridge for stealth and check the map, if horde has SH and IW bunkers really quickly….IT’S /AFK time.

First, if you AFK everytime you think your team might lose, you’re the problem. Second, if you have 95% loss rate for the Alliance on Alerac Valley, you’ve definitely been to different battlegrounds than I have.

Yep, at least 95% of the time. I stick around to see if Alliance is going to TRY and play some defense, but on my battlegroup they run right by the horde and try to take IB GY and TP, but the horde leaves about 15-20 people at that choke point and stops the alliance, while the horde caps SH BUNKER, SH GY and IW BUNKER without a fight.

The Allliance is already down two bunkers and they are still fighting for IB GY.

Never thought I’d see horde actually backcapping and defending in AV consistently. It has happened very rarely for the bgs thst I’ve done in AV.

Amen! I’m sick to death that 14 years later we have so many AFKers in AV still. The only ones I’ve lost lately could directly be contributed to having at least a handful of players who sit around, stealthed, doing nothing at all.r
r
Blizz has promised for years to do something about them yet here we are.

I’ve been playing AV since it came out. Actually enjoy the old AV and ranked up to Marshal in Vanilla, so it isn’t like I enjoy /afking, but it is to the point that Alliance plays NO DEFENSE on my battlegroup. I am not going to waste 30+ minutes on a losing AV that was lost the first 5 minutes of the game.r
r
Once the Alliance loses SH Bunker, then SH GY and then IW bunker, what’s the point in staying? Horde usually keeps two-three people back at FW area and we never get those. Oh YEA, my favorite is when some jerk caps FW GY before RH. Happen two games in a row last week? You can’t fix stupid.

r
r
r
One reason to go to Hangar is that most Horde do not know how to protect the siege engines, so a couple of Alliance players defending can take them out. Most Alliance players know to defend the siege engines, while if Horde has them the sieges are usually half dead before they get to the Alliance base.r
r
Horde only needs to defend the Hangar flag and usually half the Horde side jump into the Alliance base and stands around doing nothing because only a few players can run bombs. Take the Hangar back, once the Horde jump into the Alliance base and watch what happens.r
r
Many playing IOC do not know how important the Refinery and Quarry are to winning the game. Each one gives 15% extra siege damage as well as the reinforcements buff. If you have both, for the 30% bonus damage, you are well on your way to winning.r
r
People should take advantage of Goblin Gliders in IOC, very useful and fun in this battleground. You can fly over people dotting them with spells before they know what is going on. Not a big advantage, but if you fly from the Horde base over the Glaive Throwers, you can get in a few damaging spells before you get killed.
