I used them to get my enchanter (created after Cata) to revered with Therazane for the illusion recipe without having to do any dailies. You start out with hated with that faction so they give a bunch of 7k rep quests to get you up to neutral, getting 1,680 extra rep off of each of those really helped. Between those buffs and the grand commendation Iu2019ll have the Shado-Pan recipe in no time as well.

I can’t believe you forgot to mention that it’s a good time to work on all of the Insane in the Membrane reps except Darkmoon Faire. The six other factions will all benefit from the 24% extra rep, and since they all involve killing NPCs to some extent, you can also use guild standards for up to 15% more rep per kill.r
r
The rep grind goes super fast in a group, so hit up group finder and search for the factions you need to join a group, or just do a search for “insane.” Some tips from someone who did the grind already:r
r
r
Bloodsail Buccaneers: You don’t have to get exalted for the feat, but you might as well since it will count for the X exalted rep achievements. I’d suggest doing this one before the Steamwheedle Cartel. Get a decent group together (searching for “bloodsail” or “booty bay” should help you find one) and farm in Booty Bay until you’re honored or exalted, whichever you’re going for. Make sure you do the quests for Avast Ye, Admiral! before you leave!r
Steamwheedle Cartel: Comprised of four subfactions, you’ll be hated with all four by the time you hit honored with the Bloodsails, let alone exalted. Gaining rep with three of them won’t do anything to your Bloodsail rep, but gaining rep with Booty Bay will cause you to lose rep with the Bloodsails. You don’t have to keep your Bloodsail rep for the Insane feat, but you might for the X exalted rep achievements, I haven’t checked. The fast way is to do rep turn-ins until you’re neutral with each (making you hated by the Bloodsails again), then get a group (search for “pirates,” “steamwheedle,” “goblins,” or “tanaris”) to farm pirates along the east coast of Tanaris until you’re exalted with all except Gadgetzan, and wrap it up by killing a single pirate on Fray Island in the Northern Barrens. If you want to keep your Bloodsail rep, just do the pirate grind the whole way. With a full group, you’ll get the pirates to instantly respawn, making the rep grind super quick.r
Ravenholdt: Get a group (“ravenholdt” should be all you need to search for) and head to the eastern part of Stromgarde Keep. Plop your banner down outside the main keep upstairs and have everyone pick an area to grind. Once again, if you have a full group, you can get instant respawns to make the grind go quickly. You can do this up to max revered, and after that you’ll need a lot of Heavy Junkbox to turn in to hit exalted. I farmed them from the orcs and trolls outside Blackrock Stronghold in Burning Steppes; pickpocket a group, AOE, and then move on to the next. By the time you get back to the first group, there should be a lot respawned. If you do this step this week, you’ll only need 1130 junkboxes instead of the 1405 you normally require, saving you from having to farm 275 boxes!r
r
r
Insane in the Membrane is honestly not as bad as its reputation lets on. The only really grindy part these days is farming the junkboxes for Ravenholdt. I encourage anyone who’s been thinking about giving it a shot to go for it this week. Good luck on your rep grinds!

Progress towards achievements like 100 Exalted Reputations will be completely account-wider

Is it already on live?

Hero of Shattrath is also a great one to work on for completionists. Especially if you’ve pre-prepared, or have a second account to swap phases to get more spiders/basilisks depending on what rep you’re swapping to. 24% increased reputation is a huge chunk of it gone. Sadly I didn’t really prepare for it this year and don’t really want to spend the next week grinding out spiders, but next year I think I’ll start farming a few weeks beforehand!

For alts, you can always pick up the Halloween and Darkmoon rep buffs ahead of time and leave them logged off until the Anniversary/Pilgrim’s Bounty. That gave a total of +44% this year (45% next year). Great way to prep for burning through rep tokens like those from Timewalking vendors, Legion order hall missions, etc.

I will say this. With the Celebration package and full heirlooms leveling through the dungeons is actually viable. A fresh run is giving me 2-3 levels.

Actually you are able to have Bloodsail Buccaneers and Booty Bay exalted at the same time -> first do bloodsail and then grind from hated in Tanaris, without turn-ins to neutral as suggested by Dblbaconator; there is a lot of people doing the rep right now, so doubling the grind in Tanaris is not half so bad as some may think… You can check my main for that either here, or in armory – Kellei-Drak’thul(EU).

I wish I had the drive to use these buffs. In past years Iu2019ve been all over it but lately I log in, stare at my characters, and just log out a few minutes later.

Well I have been in the process of writing reputation guides for my rarely updated blog, though I’m not sure the policies about linking to external sites in the comments so I won’t link it here. But a link to the blog is in my profile, and you can find the guides there. I’ve written guides for Classic and BC reps so far, and most of the legwork for the Wrath article is done, just needs some screenshots to liven it up. I tried to be as thorough as possible, so I hope they’re useful!

No. Opposite reputations Aldor/Scryers or Frenzyheart/Oracles count as one

Not sure if the Spirit of Sharing buff will disappear when the event is over or not, but considering that the World Quest bonus event is up next week, you can log out Monday night with the Spirit of Sharing buff at 60 minutes, then login on Tuesday with the buff. Apply the Celebration package buff, then you get reputation bonuses for an hour from the bonus event, the spirit of sharing, and the anniversary package.
