It is too bad they have not gone for a better “account wide” system of sorts. I am glad they are doing something regarding it though.

Because having to grind again and again on every single alt is so fun, r-right?

Holy cow, finally. That Token stuff should have been ingame for a while now…

Yeah can we get this in the game right now and not when 8.3 hits in like ~2 months though? Right now is a perfect time to farm essences on alts because there isn’t much other content in the game, so putting in catch-up mechanics way later on seems… odd.

Nice. Glad to see an incoming BoA rep token for Nazjatar reputations, but still wish they’d add them for the launch reputations as well.

help out people with Alts. Bring back rep tokens – legion style. Would help alot with those with alts.

Pandaria’s “Account Bound 100% EXP once one character hits Revered” token was the best way to do reputation for alts and its mind boggling why this wasn’t continued.

i strongly agree with this, now that we are “between patches” is the best tme.

as somebody that has just rerolled as a druid healer and with the best one coming from both places this is the best news so far, just wish the patch was out a bit sooner

We expect the addition of account-bound rep tokens for Nazjatar to complement the existing account-bound reputation token that is craftable in Mechagon, providing an option for players who have already unlocked the Rank 3 Essence on their main to speed up their progression towards it on their alts.

Sounds good, in theory. But afaik, Mechagon BoA tokens will be nerfed in 8.3 by not providing reputation beyond exalted, so a similar behavior can be expected here as well. So, nothing like Legion BoA tokens, available earlier and without restriction about usage.

Pandaria’s “Account Bound 100% EXP once one character hits Revered” token was the best way to do reputation for alts and its mind boggling why this wasn’t continued.

Reputations would’ve been acquired “too fast” for the artificial pace deemed fit.

This expac remains by far the worst for alt support. I have no clue why they’re being so obnoxious about it.

I really dislike that there isnt more coming with this. I get that they dont want account wide essences for whatever reason, but the main concern is not nazjatar rep essences imo, but mechagon ones. You need 60 spare crates for one rank 3 essence on an alt, and still have to grind out the rep in the first place which is time gated. I get that you can speed the rep grind up slightly with the rep token, but 100 rep per spare crate is abysmally low. Please reconsider lowering spare crate/oscillator costs as well (especially for rank 3) as it is a huge time investment for alts and pretty much makes you not want to do the grind in the first place.

This does exactly nothing for the palace dps essence that is bis for most, and appears even in 8.3

Second this, for the life of me I don’t get why they haven’t done something similar.

Honestly, I would love to see the ability to break down oscilators and… er, the other super rare one into spare parts or crates. Even on my main I’ve not bothered with the rank 3 Purification Protocol simply because it’s so expensive to buy and I don’t *need* it for tank. That one blue essence bothers me, but every time I decide to do something about it I remember “oh yah, I need 55 more crates for that one, nevermind.r
r
Maybe if mechagon was fun or interesting maybe, lol.

Like Mechagon’s rep is the problem… Grinding for those damn crates and oscilators that are a pain in the ass…

These half measures are obnoxious. They need to do the work and make these account wide.

r
On the contrary, it belongs in 8.3 because at that time Nazjatar and Mechagon counts as old content. Why would they add a catch up mechanic for current content?
