PS4’s Days Gone has now been delayed to 2019

Sony’s upcoming post-apocalyptic zombie-’em-up Days Gone has been pushed to 2019, the format holder has confirmed.

The delay was initially spotted on the official PlayStation Store listing for the Sony Bend-developed title, where its release window was changed from 2018 to 2019. However, Sony later told Eurogamer the date is accurate and that Days Gone has indeed slipped, though promised more info would be provided at a later date (E3 perhaps?).

Days Gone was announced at Sony’s E3 2016 press conference, and focuses on former bounty hunter and biker aficionado, Deacon St. John, as he battles against undead invaders in the US. Well, okay, the game’s creators have insisted they’re not actually zombies, but infected humans known as Freakers. Uhhh, right.

Either way, Days Gone is shaping up pretty nicely from what we’ve seen, blending the survival-flavoured antics of The Last of Us with jaw-dropping battles against hundreds of infected enemies.

Days Gone will now be released exclusively on PS4 in 2019.
