Intro Questline [Return to Top]

Before the raid opens on live servers, there will be a questline that involves Xal’atath, Blade of the Black Empire. You can start it by looting Azsharan Medallion from Naga World Quests and deliver the item to Collector Kojo (The Azsharan Medallion). At the end of the questline, you will uncover the threats beneath the Shrine and receive the Twitching Eyeball toy.

Maps [Return to Top]

Crucible of Storms is comprised of two zones: Shrine of Shadows and Tendrils of Corruption.

Crucible of Storms [Return to Top]

A long-submerged evil stirs beneath the Shrine of the Storm. The whispers that drove Lord Stormsong to madness echo within the depths, a siren song of eldritch power. Those who listen and obey prepare dark rituals to carry out their master’s will. Whatever nightmarish schemes fuel their fanatical devotion, one thing is certain: they must be stopped.

The Restless Cabal [Return to Top]

Called from the depths to retrieve three relics of ancient power, the Restless Cabal is bound to serve N’Zoth and attent to his will. Zaxasj speaks of promises and power while Fa’thuul crushes their opposition with brute force.

Overview

Zaxasj the Speaker assails targets from range while Fa’thuul the Feared strikes his main target with powerful melee blows.

Whenever one of the members of The Restless Cabal loses 25% of their maximum health, they empower and activate the nearest Relic of Power.

Empowering a Relic of Power unleashes its full magic and also activates Visage from Beyond or Eldritch Revelation.

In LFR difficulty, Zaxasj and Fa’thuul ignore the Relics of Power they have already activated.

 Tanks

Swap tanking Fa’thuul the Feared to ensure that Shear Mind does not stack too high.

Position enemies within Custody of the Deep when the Trident of Deep Ocean is activated to deplete the shield.

Ensure Fa’thuul the Feared is nearest to a Relic of Power he has not yet activated when his health nears 75%, 50%, or 25%.

 Damage Dealers

Ensure only one ranged player receives Aphotic Blast from Zaxasj the Speaker to minimize its effects.

Stagger interrupts on Witness the End to manage incoming damage.

Destroy Visage from Beyond before it can cast Terrifying Echo.

 Healers

Manage stacks of Promises of Power, as higher stacks will make the target more vulnerable.

Players are unable to be healed under the effects of Embrace of the Void, ensure health is high before it occurs!

Keep health levels high during Storm of Annihilation to prevent Annihilate from destroying players.

Relics of Power

Whenever Zaxasj or Fa’thuul reaches 75%, 50%, or 25% health remaining, they activate the powers of the Relic nearest to their location.

Void Stone

Embrace of the Void (Healer Alert) – Void energy snakes out to all players, reducing healing received by 100%.

Umbral Shell (Damage Dealer Alert) – Darkness enshrouds the caster, absorbing the next 850 damage taken. Embrace of the Void only ends when this shell is broken.

Void Attunement – Utilizing the Void Stone increases the caster’s damage done by 10%.

Void Essence (Mythic Difficulty) – Upon activation, begins to create Void Essence for 10 sec every 40 sec. Void Essence draws in all players towards the center. This effect increases each time Void Essence is created and resets when the corresponding relic is next activated.

Trident of Deep Ocean

Custody of the Deep – The ocean’s guardianship creates a protective bubble for the caster and its allies, redirecting 75% of damage taken to the bubble.

Abyssal Collapse (Deadly) – When Custody of the Deep expires, the bubble erupts and inflicts Frost damage based on the absorb remaining.

Oceanic Essence (Mythic Difficulty) – Upon activation, begins to emit Oceanic Essence every 6 sec. Essences last until their relic is next activated. Coming into contact with an Oceanic Essence stuns the player for 8 sec.

Tempest Caller

Storm of Annihilation – Releases a decimating tempest for 15 sec, inflicting 8 Nature damage to all players every 1 sec. This causes targets to inflict 50% less damage for 3 sec.

Annihilate (Deadly) – If Storm of Annihilation strikes a target below 25% health, that target instantly dies.

Storm Essence (Mythic Difficulty) – Upon activation, begins to emit Storm Essence every 20 sec. Essences last until their relic is next activated. Storm Essence inflicts 4 Nature damage to the nearest player every 2 sec, increasing in damage by 10% per strike. Causes Annihilate if it strikes a target below 25% health.

Power Overwhelming (Deadly) – Utilizing a specific relic more than once per caster causes unknowable power to flow through that caster, increasing damage done by 300%.

Pact of the Restless

Zaxasj and Fa’thuul are bound to N’Zoth and unable to perish. Upon reaching 1 health, they attempt to restore 20% of their maximum health. This pact is undone if both members are brought to 1 health simultaneously.

Zaxasj the Speaker

Aphotic Blast (Important) – Launches a bolt of void energy at a player, inflicting 75 Shadow damage within 5 yds of the target and increasing threat generation by 150% for 30 sec. This bolt inflicts less damage the further away the target is. Upon expiration, transforms the target into an Agent of Demise.

Agent of Demise (Deadly) – Transforms the target into an Agent of Demise, making them hostile to all allies and reducing their healing received by 50%.

Cerebral Assault – Blasts players in a cone, inflicting 25 Shadow damage and scrambling their brains, making them hostile to allies for 6 sec.

Dark Herald – A targeted player becomes a Dark Herald, offering Promises of Power to all players within 5 yds every 5 sec for 10 sec.

Promises of Power (Magic Effect) – Promises power to a target, increasing their damage done by 10% and reducing their maximum health by 10%. This effect increases over time.

Wrack – When Promises of Power is dispelled, it inflicts 30 Shadow damage to the dispeller.

Visage from Beyond (Important) – Upon activating a Relic of Power, the caster calls forth a Visage from Beyond for 3 min.

Visage from Beyond – An ephemeral image that regenerates its own health upon death.

Terrifying Echo – Inflicts 35 Shadow damage and causes all players to run in fear for 6 sec. Bringing the Visage to 1 hp will interrupt this spell.

Coalesce Void – Draws in nearby shadows, healing for 1% of maximum health every 2 sec. This healing increases over time.

Fa’thuul the Feared

Shear Mind (Tank Alert) – Slices off a fragment of a target’s mind, inflicting 150 Physical damage and reducing all stats by 10% for 20 sec. This effect stacks.

Void Crash – Launches a mass of void energy at a location, inflicting 100 Shadow damage to players within 10 yds. If no players are struck, the mass bounces again, reducing in size and damage. This reduction can only occur up to 2 times.

Crushing Doubt (Deadly) – Reduces movement speed by 25% and inflicts 10 Shadow damage every 2 sec for 12 sec. The damage increases every 2 sec. Upon expiration, strikes all players, inflicting up to 50 Shadow damage. This damage is reduced the further away players are from the blast.

Eldritch Revelation (Important) – Upon activating a Relic of Power, the caster calls forth Eldritch Abominations to reveal the end of all things.

Eldritch Abomination (Important) – A ghastly being from the void that grants visions of annihilation.

Witness the End (Interruptible) – Destroys the Eldritch Abomination, inflicting 50 Shadow damage to all players.

Incomplete Form (Mythic Difficulty) – Eldritch Abominations are only vulnerable to interrupts for 2 min after being formed.

Enveloping Darkness (Important)

Leaving the central platform causes darkness to enshroud the player, inflicting 40 Shadow damage and reducing healing and damage done by 99% for 30 sec.

Uu’nat, Harbinger of the Void [Return to Top]

When she struck her bargain with N’Zoth ten thousand years ago, Queen Azshara offered one of her most devoted followers into the Old God’s service. Now Uu’nat and the crawling masses he commands herald the coming of their master, as foretold by the stars.

Overview

Uu’nat battles his enemies using the gift of N’Zoth, offering power and corruption. Only with the three Relics of Power do the forces of Azeroth stand a chance at survival.

In stage one, Uu’nat calls upon the many eyes of N’Zoth to blast and confuse players.

In stage two, Uu’nat is assisted by waves of N’Zoth’s minions who seek to overwhelm their enemies.

In stage three, Uu’nat uses the sheer power of N’Zoth’s mighty gaze to wither and crush players.

 Damage Dealers

Damage dealers can use Storm of Annihilation from the Tempest Caller to annihilate Undying Guardians.

Interrupt Primordial Mindbenders when they cast Consume Essence to prevent them from healing.

 Healers

Healers can use Embrace of the Void from the Void Stone to deny the healing from Oblivion Tear.

Upon activation of the Void Stone, the bearer must take damage to break Umbral Shell and end the effects of Embrace of the Void.

Keep health levels high during Storm of Annihilation to prevent Annihilate from destroying players.

 Tanks

Tanks can use Custody of the Deep from the Trident of Deep Ocean to provide shelter and protection to players.

Undying Guardians gain strength from Shroud of Whispers and must be kept away from Uu’nat due to Sightless Bond.

Relics of Power

Players are able to harness the Relics of Power while they are fully charged.

Void Stone (Healer Alert) – Healers can pick up and utilize the Void Stone.

Unstable Resonance (Mythic Difficulty + Deadly)
