Star Wars Battlefront 2 developer DICE is tinkering away on a new season of content for its big-budget sci-fi spectacle. Say hello to The Han Solo Season, which is being thrown together to mark the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story in cinemas this summer.
Content from the upcoming flick will be featured in the first-person shooter, although publisher Electronic Arts is keeping mum on any proper details right now. We don’t even know when exactly Han Solo Season will launch, but since Solo is in cinemas on May 25, we imagine it’ll be around that time.
Given what we know about Solo though, it’s pretty safe to assume that we’ll probably get skins that reflect the film’s younger incarnation of the wise-cracking hero and his furry friend Chewbacca. A few new maps plucked from the movie are also highly likely.
It’s worth remembering that Star Wars Battlefront has implemented various content from the new Star Wars films over the years. The original game featured both Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story content, while Battlefront 2 added various goodies from Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
EA has promised more details on The Han Solo Season will drop next week, so stay tuned.
