What in the actual fudge? Are they serious?

“With mobile games, Blizzard can please Activisionu2019s investors by appealing to burgeoning video game markets in China and India, and Blizzard can also satisfy its veteran developers by letting them work on smaller projects that they really want to make.”

“These mobile games might not appeal to as many of Blizzardu2019s hardcore fansu2014those who prefer to play games mainly on PCsu2014but they have appealed very much to the developers.”

“but they have appealed very much to the developers.”

“developers”

Well, they don’t care for their fans, but only for themself. I can’t wait to see their stock drop even more…

Honestly, I will tolerate a mobile battle pet game. Sometimes I just need to scratch an itch while at work.r
r
It must however apply all the levels and achievements in-game. Separate it if needed, but what i get in-game should reflect the pet app, and vice versa.

Even if they do it, nobody would be forcing you to play.

I want this… both to try it and to see the head explosion in the community. Anyone wanting their favorite PC games to remain healthy should want the studio to get the mobile money incoming whether you play it or not. r
r
No one reasonable will mind the existence of Blizzard mobile games. There, I said it. Sorrynotsorry.

Yet, all the investments and developers time that they put into that side game, will be less content for their main game. That is the way i see it. Unless they have too much worker, than i guess it shouldn’t hurt, but still.

Or, it could contribute revenue to the core IP games, which would help since the devs are underpaid as it is.

I agree that they can make some hearthstone V.2 like mobile games, with a battle pet game for example, but not a “complete” game… They’ll forget about their main games on PCs and it’ll get worse and worse till nothing else than phone can sustent Blizzard. We’re a big community, sadly China can buy anything………….

WoW is anyway dead and content being overdone for matter of week or two…. from all this games trying go modern nowadays start to become so useless and focusing casual gamers then making a real challenging content for real gamers that spent thousands of money for PC

Hmmmm, ok, you brought a good point.r
r
They could also make pet exclusively catchable only in the app and be transferable on WoW … that could give people a reason to play it, if there is awesome pets to catch.

You realise that even if a lot (it would never be all) of their current PC user base left in disgust and never spent a cent with Blizzard again, the new players they’d get from mobile would far outweigh them.r
r
Mobile gaming is huge, makes far more money worldwide than PC gaming, and PCs are eventually going to go the way of the dinosaurs. Fewer people have PCs at home every year. They’d be stupid not to start to move into that market. It’s where their future income is going to be coming from.

we do, but we use them for emails, music, texting/communication, and MAYBE stuff like fruit ninja or pokemon. People have already sunk hundreds into computers, and there’s no real GAMING phone, so… yeah. Seems like an odd direction to head in, but that’s just me.
