Blizzard has announced that World of Warcraft Classic, the new version of their most famous MMO that takes players back to simpler times before the many, many expansion packs, will be released on August 27.
In the announcement made on the Blizzard website, Blizzard also mention that a series of stress tests is to take place over the next few months in run up to launch. The first one of these tests will be across the days of May 22 to May 23, then another from June 19-20 and the final one over July 18-19. These will be stress tests, and partcipants will be selected from those who have an active subscription and sign up by opting in on their Blizzard Account Management page.
Finally, character creation will open August 13, allowing eager players to make up their ideal builds ahead of the game’s launch on August 27. World of Warcraft Classic was originally announced back at Blizzcon 2017.
